Content (Content marketing)

Content marketing is a strategic marketing technique where marketing managers are forced to create invaluable collateral that will be used to bore prospects or customers. Content can also be curated by 3rd party vendors at a cost of $10,000 per webcast, ebook, or blog post to save time. Unbeknownst to the marketing manager, the content creation part is outsourced to the most junior member of the vendor at a 5th-grade comprehension level. Content is then rewritten by the marketing manager, who ultimately paid someone else to write his own content. __ Intern: This one customer has a really awesome case study where they grew revenue by 10x in one month! QR Code

A square shaped barcode whose sole purpose is to take up space on a brochure. Usually added by an overly ambitious boomer marketer who wants to add a QR code to every piece of content in hopes that their users find time during their busy schedule to download an app that is suitable for scanning QR codes (without realizing that their phone camera already supports this capability). Most users just identify the company on the brochure and then google it to find the information right away.
